A workshop that teaches climate leaders how to use narrative structure to inspire engagement, build loyal fans, and foster the intrinsic motivation that movements are made of.
Storytelling Secrets for Climate Action is the second module of the School of Climate Action Design, teaching participants how to use proven storytelling frameworks to inspire engagement, action, and support for environmental initiatives.
The course explores the Hero's Journey, the iconic 12-step storytelling structure used in many of the world's most successful films, and shows how it can be applied to climate campaigns, presentations, funding pitches, websites, community programs, and social media content.
Participants learn how to craft compelling narratives, develop strong audience-centered messages, and use psychological framing, copywriting techniques, and attention-grabbing hooks to communicate their ideas more effectively. The module helps climate leaders move beyond facts and data alone, creating stories that build emotional connection, motivation, and a sense of possibility.
Through practical exercises, peer collaboration, and expert mentor feedback, participants develop and refine their own climate action stories, ensuring their projects resonate with the audiences they need to reach.
The result is a powerful communication toolkit that helps turn important environmental ideas into movements people want to join.
