Green Neighborhood Discovery Quest

A hands-on activity where students visit up to 10 neighbors and ask them 10 yes/no questions about their eco-friendly habits using a sticker chart.

For each “no” response, kids ask “why” and write down the answer to learn about barriers to green behavior. After collecting the data, they analyze the most and least common actions and share personalized summary sheets back with each neighbor.

The activity teaches basic data science skills, builds social connections, and uses behavioral science tools like disclosure and social norms to inspire real environmental change in the community.
