The Green Dollhouse Kit is a hands-on educational activity that allows children to build and customize their own miniature sustainable home. Inspired by maker kits such as KiwiCo, participants assemble a model house while learning about real-world sustainability features including solar panels, electric appliances, insulation, heat pumps, rainwater harvesting, native gardens, composting systems, and energy-efficient design.

The project uses experiential learning, play-based education, and systems thinking to help children understand how different parts of a home work together to reduce environmental impact. By physically building and interacting with the model, participants develop a deeper understanding of energy, water, waste, and climate solutions than traditional classroom instruction alone can provide.

The kit encourages creativity, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship while helping children imagine themselves as designers of a more sustainable future. Through storytelling and hands-on exploration, the Green Dollhouse Kit transforms complex sustainability concepts into an engaging learning experience that can inspire lasting interest in climate action, engineering, and ecological design.
