Home Electrification Worksheet

An easy-to-use worksheet to help decarbonization proponents gather information about homes in order to help them offer best suited electrification solution.

The Home Electrification Worksheet helps residents understand, plan, and prioritize the transition from fossil fuel appliances to electric alternatives. Participants map out the major systems in their home—including heating, cooking, water heating, transportation, and solar energy—to create a personalized electrification roadmap.

The worksheet applies behavioral design principles such as cognitive load reduction, implementation intentions, and progress tracking. Rather than overwhelming participants with technical information, the tool breaks a complex, multi-year transition into achievable next steps. The result is increased confidence, greater action readiness, and higher rates of participation in electrification programs. Utilities, local governments, and community organizations can use the worksheet to support large-scale adoption of clean energy technologies.
